Amazing $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream
After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are multiple package options available here.
The Main Attraction
The big draw is certainly a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.
A regional fantasy map generated in the CC3+ software platform.
Bundle Tiers
Entry Level
The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.
Intermediate Package
The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.
Full Package
For a minimum of $30, the 39-item bundle contains these components:
- Fractal Terrains 3+
- Dungeon Designer 3
- City Designer 3
- Cosmic Mapping System

- Monster Token Set 1

- Source Maps: Cities!
All 17 volumes from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable with Windows systems.
Philanthropic Aspect
As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu immediately below, enabling adjustment of how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
